The CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour in Wagrain – Kleinarl

The CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour in Wagrain – Kleinarl

The CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour will take place again in Wagrain – Kleinarl this year – and the tournament series comes in a double pack!

WE ARE BACK – Wagrain will be the venue of the CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour again. Because one tournament is not enough, the European Volleyball Elite will compete on two consecutive weekends in the snow. After the two FIS Slalom races, the winter sports resort Snow Space Salzburg will once again provide perfect conditions to run the event this winter from February 19th 2021 – February 21st 2021 and February 26th 2021 – 28th 2021.
Originally, the second Austrian stop of the European Tour would have been hosted in St. Anton am Arlberg, as in the previous years. The federation and the organizers agree, a double weekend at one and the same place simplifies a realization substantially.

As one of the first Snow Volleyball organizer we consider it more than ever as our responsibility to show that Snow Volleyball is a professional sport which can also be performed in times like this. To ensure good health of all participants and team members we take all safety concepts into consideration and try our best to reduce any risk of infection. We are confident that together with our experienced team we`re able to manage this situation in a smart and smooth way.

5 REASONS why Snow Volleyball can still be played safely:

  • outdoor sport
  • no contact sport except team members
  • Small teams of 3 to 4 players
  • venues offer more than enough space to implement any specific hygienic guideline
  • Corona prevention concept and strict safety and hygiene measures

Due to the current situation, unfortunately no spectators are allowed to cheer for their favorite players on site. But we are happy to announce that there will be a livestream in place for the entire tournament, transmitting the atmosphere right into homes. Additionally selected matches are broadcasted on TV.The link to the livestream will be published on www.snowvolleyball.com in the next few days.

Together with the Austrian, European and International federations we are optimistic that the 2021`s Snow Volleyball Season will be a great success, even if it will be different than the last years. Additionally we are confident that the players will show highest understanding for any arrangements due to Covid-19. It is our purpose to generate optimism and positivity by setting a good example: creating a chance for the Snow Volleyball family to practice their sport & passion on a professional level.

Registration is now open for all teams wishing to participate in the first CEV Snow Volleyball competition of the year 2021.
